A mummy is discovered in the basement of a run down old museum, there are no records of it and the medical examiner who is present at the scan of the mummy notices a few strange things about the mummy that suggest that it may nat be all that ancient. But it seems that the mummy is only the first in a string of preserved corpses that just keep turning up at the museum. As usual Gerritessen balances gruesome details with a tense page turning story that keeps you guessing with its twists and turns.
