Whales travel over 3,000 kilometres. It is in the winter that whales swim to warmer waters to mate and give birth to their young. Follow this humpback on its amazing journey. Along the journey, he gets caught in a net, but manages to finally free himself to go up to get air. He is so exhausted that he nearly becomes beached. As he continues across north he comes across a boat...a whale watching boat and the people watch with amazement. At last he arrives home after 35 days and 3,000 kilometres. On the last page is a section on save the whales.
