Journal Bliss incorporates ideas from mind mapping, scrapbooking and more traditional art journal techniques to inspire journallers to add colour and texture to their work. The book is eye catchingly illustrated in full colour but I was a little disappointed in the content - the technique descriptions were brief and the majority of the pages are taken up with the illustrations. On the bright side, this is not one of those books where you might be initimidated by the quality of the drawings and finished pages - part of the charm of Violette's exercises and examples is that they look achievable in your own home with basic art supplies!
