I highly recommend the Jolly Stories to accompany the Jolly phonics songs. The stories allow the students to visually see the charachers and lern the sounds. As all the stories have pictures of the characters that you hear in the songs such as snake, inky the mouse and the stories are made up of words using the sounds. This is a great visual resource for the students to make the connections between spelling, writing and reading, noting that words are made up of different sounds, diagraphs and blends.
