A humorous story of how people’s letters are sent through the jolly postman as he travels his merry way round a neighborhood of some of the children’s favourite story book characters.
Little hands will enjoy opening each letter themselves and making a guess at whose letter will be delivered next.
The illustrations are reminiscent of those beautifully illustrated children’s books of an earlier childhood.
This book is one of my children's favourite books. Our girls are now grown up now so I bought another so both of them have one each for their children (when they come along). Now after reading this book, I have a few work people wanting them for their Grandchildren!!
i loved this book when i was a kid and now i have bought it for my daughters they love it too! this book allows them to feel special opening up all the special letters in the book address to all there favourite characters.
This is just the greatest little children's book ever. It gives children a really interesting and interactive read, as they open little envelopes and read the letters within. A very cool way to get kids into reading! It is a great gift idea, especially if you bundle it together with the christmas book in the series also.
Such a simple idea, yet what an impact on the audience! This is not only a dream book for teachers to use when modelling different styles of writing, but a definate keeper with the kids as well. This particular postman visits various characters from well known fables. He drops off such mail items as a postcard, letter and a brochure. Each item of mail that he delivers provides the reader a little insight into both the characters in the tale but also a different form of writing.
