This, in my opinion, is probably the best dictionary for beginning learners of the Japanese language. As I studied Beginners Japanese in High School, this dictionary was like the bible to my study, and because its in romaji (romanised japanese) it made it far easier to find different words than Kodonsha'a furigana dictionary, though both do have their own advantages. Overall you will not be disappointed with this dictionary, it's easy to use and understand, and very cheap too!
