I bought this book for my 10 year old daughter. She absolutely loved it. Most nights I had to go and tell her to put her book down because it was getting too late to read. What a difference a good book makes.

This book is well worth reading. It is based on the true life story of a young woman who was left alone on the island of San Nicholas after her tribe was "rescued".
The author has researched well the life that she could have lived and made an excellent story about the trials she would have encountered. My 6 and 8 year old children loved this story too.
