About the Author

Taryn Simon, a graduate of Brown University, has had her photographic editorial work published in the New York Times Magazine, Visionaire, The New Yorker, Harpers Bazaar, French Vogue and Vanity Fair. She was awarded a Guggenheim fellowship in 2001. Peter Neufeld and Barry Scheck are leading civil rights attorneys representing such clients as Hedda Nussbaum, Louise Woodward and O.J. Simpson. In 1992 they established The Innocence Project, a program that has either represented or assisted in the representation of over 110 people exonerated through post-conviction DNA testing.
