I was unsure about this book when it first came out, but decided to buy it anyway. Most of the stories were unusual and did not all have happy endings. I managed to read the whole book (half of the stories were written by MLindholm and half were RHobb although the same person just different styles). I will remember the stories because they were like nothing I have ever read before, but I probably wouldn't go and re-read this book. Overall, I would rate it average.
