Bursting with beautifully reproduced paintings, sketches, period and present-day photography, and further 'illustrated' by telling quotations from diaries, letters and other contemporary sources, this lavishly produced giftbook focuses on where and how the impressionists lived, and the ways in which their homes and domestic routines were a mainstay of their art. It will appeal to all those who have long enjoyed the impressionists, as well as serving as the perfect introduction for anyone coming fresh to these popular and much-loved artists.
