I've been a fan of the Harper Connelly and Tolliver Lang series since "Grave Secret." To date, Charlaine Harris has not disappointed me. For those of you new to the series, Harper Connelly was struck by lightning at 15. That incident left her with a set of strange illnesses and the ability to find dead bodies and discover their cause of death from reading them. She travels around the country with Tolliver, who was raised as a brother, but is not related by blood working to help find lost people or determine the cause of death.
The plot kept me reading page after page til the book was done. "An Ice Cold Grave" is a satisfying read that I'd recommend to fans of mysteries, thrillers and paranormal fiction. While you don't have to read "Grave Secret" and "Grave Surprise" to understand this book, it's definitely not a waste of your time to do so.
A short, fast past story about an unknown serial killer in a small town. Another winning novel by Charlaine Harris.

Charlaine Harris has once again captured our imaginations and brought us another scary- hold on to your seats- thrill ride. Harper Connelly has been brought in to find several missing teenage boys who have all mysteriously disappeared. With the help of some unorthodox but quirky friends and her constant companion Tolliver, Harper may of found more than she can handle.

Only Charlaine Harris can make you empathize with such an unusual character in such an unimaginable situation. How is it that she can make me understand Harper, who not only got struck by lightning and can now sense the dead, but is also having to deal with awkward feelings toward her not-really-brother? When he tells her 'I'm not your brother' I whooped with excitement. Thank you Charlaine for introducing another magnificent heroine into the world! I couldn't put this one down, I read it in one sitting, and it was worth it!

Before you read this instalment I highly recommend that you read Grave Sight and Grave Surprise first as a few things that happen in the book are a led up to in the previous two.
That being said I loved it. I read it twice in succession. I love Harper in all of her flawed perfection and the way she keeps getting dragged into the thick of all of the mysteries.
If you have read anything else y Charlaine Harris then you won't need me to recommend this book - you already know how good she is.
