For anyone who just started reading paranormal romances, this is the perfect intro into it. Great humor, mixed with some jealousy and some steamy scenes makes life very colourful. A story about a perky innocent halfbreed and a dominant possessive Lykae, throw in some lunatic protective Valkayries fro a family and you've got yourself a keeper. This is the first and my fav book from the immortals after dark series. ENJOY!!

I love this writer. She is great. This is another great example of fun and funky. The story flows beautifully and connects to the other books in the series. I loved it. As a result I have brought the rest of the series and am looking forward to new books that also connect. I love the characters, the plot, and intrigues and the way the characters don't do what you expect. The males are hot and make the story riveting.

The first of the MacRieve brothers' books, about Lykae Lachlain MacRieve and a half Valkyrie/half vampire female Emmaline. In between supernatural abilities, good storylines and bloody battles, there are some passionate, almost steamy, love scenes. Just love Kresley Cole. Especially these books, where the storyline overlaps in several books. In the different books you view some situations from different points of view and that gives an extra dimension to the books.

Bought it secondhand and that was really good. Books looked very good and delivery very fast. Books were here almost before payment!

Hey if you like something light with a bit of adventure and some very discriptive shagging then this is the book for you...but if you're an old hand ( laurell k...Pat briggs) this aint it. Mills and Boons 'Nocturn' readers will love these.

Kresley Cole is superb in crafting her stories and characters. The sharp, witty dialogue is fun to read and the characters are memorable and enjoyable. Original and entertaining.

I just loved this book. By half way down the second page I was locked in, I just could not put it down. This is the first book in the Immortals After Dark series, I have read four of them now and although I have enjoyed them all, this is my favorite so far. A very sensual steamy read, sexy hero, likable heroine, fast paced story, If you like this type of romance, I can't imagine you being disappointed.

Great characters, fast paced writing, this is a great series to read, but can also read the titles indivdually with out losing any of the content (which is sometimes hard with books in a series).

Kresley Cole has done a lovely job with this book, once you pick it up you don't want to put it down. You can see the characters grow during the book. A great read.

Fabulous! Having read a lot of quite mediocre vampire/paranormal romances, 'A Hunger Like No Other' was bowl-me-over excellent. The male lead, werewolf Lochlain, is HOT LIKE FIRE. Strike that, he's hot like MAGMA. Added to that, the story is steamily good. Young half vampire-half Valkyrie Emmaline is caught up in Lochlain's embrace from a few pages into this novel and the tension that builds between them as they fight their way through different battles is oh-my-god-knock-me-over exquisite.
I simply cannot say enough good things about this book. Within an hour of having started it, I got online and ordered the rest of the available series and the first book, which is part of an anthology called 'Playing Easy to Get'. You will too. Not all the other books are as fabulous, but they are well worth it!
