This book follows Cesars adoption of four puppies, a lab, miniature Schnauzer, pit bull and English bulldog, from picking them out to their journey into the juvenile stage and subsequent placement with 'forever homes'. The first third of the book deals with picking out the right puppy for you, very useful if you have not yet got your puppy, if you have then the rest of the book has some good information on raising a balanced pup into a balanced dog but deals only briefly with behavioral problems right at the end.
