A great book to start a maths investigation unit. Teachers can use this book as a "hook" to get children involved in measuring using a range of materials to find the elusive 1000. Children will be keen to find out How much? How many? How far? How heavy, How long and How tall is 1000? Just figuring out "1000 What?" will start many valid discussions.

It was a bit to heavy for my 5 yr old to grasp the concept but my 7 yr old enjoyed it.
