This beautifully presented book really gets your creative juices flowing. I've had such a fun time with this book, getting ideas and then shopping around second-hand stores and the cheaper antique stores sourcing vintage bits and pieces and then going home with my "Homemade Gifts Vintage style" to see what i can rustle up. I'm a sucker for things crafty and vintage, the more shabby chic the better. The ideas in this book really are do-able. I would definately call myself a newbie at the whole crafts thing and there are quite a few pieces in here you can do in such a position. I'm looking forward to working my way further through the book as my experience grows. Be warned though - You will find that this book stops you throwing anything out! i'm always storing up ripped clothes, old linen, bits of broken jewellery etc in case there is something i can make with it from my book. The book is full of step-by-step photographs accompanied by simple instructions. the ideas in the book can be sewn by hand or with a sewing machine.
