A hobbit and his friends find that they have in their possetion a ring of power that they have to ge rid of if they are to remain safe. What starts first as a mission to get rid of the ring carries on as one to destroy it with the help of the men, elves, dwarves, as well as the wizards.

The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit are the epic adventure / fantasies of our time. They are commonly regarded as the best books ever written- and reading them does not disappoint. The battles are beautifully staged and absolutely realistic (Tolkien wrote some of the battle scenes while serving in the wars) and the characters are wonderfully sculpted. The 4-part series introduces a full range of emotions from dread and fear to exhilaration and love. A perfect story!
