Drawn from journals, this book is an account of a woman's sexual awakening, covering a single momentous year - 1931-32, in Paris, when June fell in love with Henry Miller, undermining her own idealized marriage. The question of the outcome of June Miller's return to Paris dominates her thoughts.

I love this book dearly. It has a really fantastic 1930’s vibe that translates and jumps off the pages. It is a candid account through the eyes of Anais Nin that explores the love triangle between Henry, June and herself. I couldn’t put it down; Anais is a fantastic writer that just entrances you. Shame about the cover.. I think the nudity is a bit uneccessary...
