As an artist who has picked up painting again after years of life getting in the way, colour can sometimes cause a big block. This beautiful book is one of Van Wyk's best. Well set out and fully illustrated, it's a little different from the usual art books on colour. It shows how to paint trees, skies, sun fog, fruit, books, etc etc, discusses brush strokes, colour combinations etc but does it in such a practical way, it all seems a lot easier to accomplish. Van Wyk uses her own palette and these colours are used throughout the examples and projects. Easy to read, simple plain English, with lots of extra hints throughout, this book is a must-have for all artists.

One of those rare books you find and can not put down some very good demostrations on different mixing to some really good colours.
Reccomend to any one who has trouble with colours in a painting.

Very handy Book for Artist, i do recommended for those who want to improve their paintings.
