Brilliant read - tie in with the popular TV show - Castle. Season 2 is now airing on Channel 7 in Australia - back by popular demand. If you have watched any episodes of Castle you have to read this book. Do you think 'life' will imitate art?? Will Nikki Heat get her man, as well as the bad guys??? You'll have to read it and find out!

I really enjoyed this book. I admit to a huge amount of delight at just the fact that I was holding the same book they show on the TV series, because there is no indication anywhere on the book that it was written by anyone but Richard Castle and I thought that was brilliant. Normally I don't read crime novels, so I can't make an intelligent comparison to the rest of the genre, but I admit I failed to spot the murderer before the reveal and I thought the other potential suspects were made to seem very plausible.

As to the writing itself, I wouldn't put it on my all-time greats list, but it was still well-written and enjoyable. I could definitely believe that Richard Castle wrote this, it was definitely his style, and it was great to see all the hints and allusions to the characters I've seen on screen.

If you are a fan of the show I would definitely recommend this book as a good read to add to your viewing - or a way to get a taste of the show while you're waiting for the next episode.
