These books, ‘Harrington on Cash Games Vol. 1 and Vol. 2’, follow after the authors’ excellent three volume ‘Harrington on Hold ‘em Tournaments’ series. So naturally comparisons between the two series will always come up, but apples and oranges are not the same. Essentially, cash games are very different to tournaments, so players must adjust their play and their expectations to the books (the understanding of and approach to tournaments has evolved rapidly over the last 10-years, were as those to cash games have not). Cash Games Vol. 2 continues the tight-aggressive playing style from Vol. 1, and then discusses loose-aggressive style, plus other general topics that are important to know and understand. The authors explain these in an easy-to-read, enjoyable writing style and there are many examples to quiz you on. Regardless whether you believe in Harrington’s very conservative strategy and mode of operation, it gives you an insight into the mind of a conservative player, and there are some very useful tactics. This book is essential reading and a ‘must buy’ for any poker player, whatever your level or style of play.

Harrington is considered to be one of the best poker players and writters. the Harrington on Holdem series VI-III are a must for any serious poker player looking to improve your tournament game. This new book series on cash games has been eagerly awaited by cash game players.
This book contains specific info on turn and river play along with some looser ways to play (Harrington is remarkable tight player)

While not as groundbreaking as the tournament series (specifically a lack of new concepts such as M or Q), its still a solid addition to your poker library.

With the info provided, even if you dont use it, others will, so to keep your edge, know how they are playing by reading this book.
