My husband and I read this book before we had our baby and this author is amazing. We not only learnt some really useful tips, we were able to use them straight away. I can honestly say we definitely have the happiest baby on the Block!!

I love the authors methods for calming the baby and have used a couple almost constantly. This book is worth every penny!

The theory of the 4th trimester makes a lot of sense and this book is a most interesting insight into how baby's brain may work. A lot of techniques do work but not all the time in my experience. In the end, now that I have been dealing with my wee bundle of crying joy for 4 weeks,it turns out that there are only 2 things he really wants when he is crying: 1) Feeding 2) Mum or Daddy's body heat. Most of the time it is 2) that he wants regardless of the amount of swaddling, shushing or swinging. I found I had to cherry pick techniques from the book as opposed to taking the whole thing as gospel. I would certainly recommend the read though and trying the techniques until finding the ones that works for baby. Laurence
