Fantastic. So what if it’s first person, it’s original and funny and exciting and endearing. Frost has given us a memorable heroine who reminds me a little of the feisty MacAlister characters, but with more depth. Catherine Crawford is a half-vampire raised by a vamp hating mother who’s maxim is ‘the best vampire is a dead vampire’. Cat has lived up to that creed, until she is captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter. Cat has finally met someone who kills more vamps than she does . . . and he’s a vampire himself! In exchange for finding her father, the vampire who had ruined her mother’s life—and we all know why Cat wants to find Daddy Dearest—Cat agrees to train with Bones and help him bring down a bad vamp who is kidnapping young women and selling them into blood slavery. I was a little disappointed by the end, even though I realize Frost is introducing a series, but hey, the rest of the book is well worth reading.

Absolutely love this book! Fell in love with it right away after reading several pages of it. Amazing plot lines, funny characters, yet not lagging one bit of romance and actions. This book gets you addicted to the entire series hook, line, and sinker!

This was one of the first of the Jeaniene Frost novels that I have read, I found this novely quite exciting and full of action, romance, funny. With Catherine Crawfield tracking down and killing
Vampires because of what happening with her Mother and the Vampire who ruined her life.
Then comes along Bone's and everything changes for her. New things happen and the excitement begins for her. Very intense reading, fast paced, sexy and thrill all in one book.
Can't wait to read the next one.

I was also laughing outloud! This is another great vampire book, but is really sexy and racey, really getting into quite a lot of detail! Would recommend this book and the others to any vampire lovers!

Amazing, had me laughing out loud, and giggling like a school girl. It has it all; romance, sass, comedy, action. Everything a vampire book should be, on top of being rather different from most cliché Vampire tales. The different feel of the characters is refreshing and exciting from the usual blah. True vampires are always foreign, foreign is sexy, but that usually means a heavy European type accent. I think the small twists make this book more now, easier to relate to, easier to get drawn in.
Bones and Cat being rather provocative creatures, getting down and dirty, in action packed scenes, recovering with erotic lust scenes, you are bound to fall in love with this Love affair of danger and pure lust of passion, I know I did.

This novel looked promising. Parts of it were good and I did enjoy the storyline mostly. But the male lead, I don't know, his language just didn't seem authentic. A vampier that calls girls 'love'? Just seems weird. Some of Cat's lines are cringe-worthy also. I'll wait for the next book before I decide whether I continue on.

This book (series of books) are extremely clever and once you start you cannot put it down. The characters are engaging and ones you like and you want them to succeed. A lot of pace and action from beginning to end - very enjoyable.

Enthralling book to read could not put the book down. Cat is a great heroin who has men wanting her but she only wants one. She will do anything to save her friends even the ones that grate on her nerves. Fantastic book.

Absolutely loved this book. Loved the entire "cast" of characters. Cat is smart, sassy and sexy without being cliche like so many other "vampire novel" heroines, and Bones isn't your typical Vampire. Well written and will have you up all night reading wanting more!
