I really encourage anyone who is interested in natural remedies to buy this!! I hope they make another TV series so Mr Wong can put out a sequel! I have only made a handful of the recipes so far but they all work, the products are easy to grow and/or to get your hands on if your'e not inclined to grow them but my garden looks beautiful and I feel great :-)
This book is full of easy to make natural remedies for common problems using our basic herbs, vegetables and other plants;the photos are excellent, and the book is a joy to read.
Having researched these recipes for several years, it is a delight to find some that you do not have to be a practising chemist to understand, and that are also reasonably quick and easy to make.
Written in England, there are certain plants used that are hard to get hold of here in New Zealand, but these are in the minority and New Zealanders can use many of the recipes without a problem sourcing ingredients.
I would recommend this book to all interested in keeping their friends and family healthy naturally, Ginny Clayton (www.ginnysherbs.com)
Great book, I have most of the plants needed to make the lotions in my garden, even though its an English book it's still very relevant in NZ . Best online price I could find and super fast delivery.
What a fantastic little book, easy to follow recipes, well illustrated.
Even the naturopaths at work liked it, so the info can't be bad.
Looking forward to a little free time to dig in and follow a couple since there are plenty of treatments to normal things we all go through in there.
I had seen the television show Grow Your Own Drugs and loved it. I was pleased to find the book. After receiving it, I am equally as happy. Some if the herbs mentioned in the book, I am not familiar with, but the book is easily written and describes the process of making the products clearly.
Over all, a good book. It fits into my philosophy of taking control and do for myself.
This book is a great read. Not only is it nice to look at but very practical with its recipes and descriptions about the uses of various plants. Highly rated buy.
I bought this book after watching a couple of episodes of the "Grow your own Drugs" programme. I decided to buy the book because in the programme his measurements are not specified i.e. it looked like a handful of hops but according to the internet it was five handfuls of hops. My flatmate has an interest in growing the flowers and herbs for the recipes in the book and I'm interested in making them.
