My granddaughter (3) and I love this gorgeous book as it tells the story in plain and just a few words of the normal bed time routines in rhyme.
It starts off with the sun setting as the animals sail the seven seas. All is quiet... then it sets the pace as everyone gets ready to go to bed they bath, brush their teeth,and do
some exercises.(all to be read nice and fast...) before they settle down in bed, as they rock and rock to sleep.(which we read in a nice slowing down sleepy tone!) Great book!

A lovely little story for bedtime (or any time, really). This tells the story of Boynton's lovable animal friends as they prepare for bed on a boat. This simple story gets the friends ready for bed and then slows the pace to lull them all to sleep. A short, but very sweet read.

Lovely little book, my 19 month old loves it! Her routine is almost the same. One bit I didnt quite like about the book is that after all the animals have a bath, they exercise before going to bed...this is a little confusing as I dont think any child (or adult for that matter) would be exercing before going to sleep! Still, it flows well and overall, its pretty cute.
