What a fabulous book! Funny, frank and fearless, Kaz Cooke pulls no punches, but neither does she overwhelm girls with advice. Some of the short paragraphs from anonymous girls can be shocking and sad, but the positive - and the positively funny - rule in this book. My daughter particularly enjoyed Kaz's suggested retorts for rude/unkind or patronising remarks.

I am 13 and thought that this book is wonderful. Tells you everything you need to know about teenage hood and I love it that she tells you all the things that all the other people from Personal Development, school, doctors, parents, etc always keep quiet about.
She doesn't pressure you and answers all the questions that your too frightened to ask about like say... How do i say no when some one offers me a drink of alcohol? What do I say when some one yells out a rude comment? and all info the about all the yucky stuff. Every teen should own this book. It helped me a lot and gave me a large confidence kick.

I didn't like some parts of this book, it was really good and informative in some ways but actually I found some scientific errors and other errors! So I wasn't too impressed by those parts.

My review is based on the reaction from my granddaughter for whom I had purchased the book. Girl Stuff was recommended to me by the "Library Ladies" at the school where I work as a present for my granddaughter (I like to buy books as part of birthday presents for my children and granddaughter). The book arrived whilst my granddaughter was on holidays with me and from the moment it arrived, her nose was glued to it and it went everywhere with us for the week. It then went home with her (not a Nanna place present). I'd have to ssy on that premise it was very good.

i am 11 and this book has helped me alot to understand what i will go through in life and that im not the only one who feels the way i do about change and becoming a teen this book tells it to you straight but in a funny and comforting way to realise every girl goes through it and its nothing to be embarrest or ashamed about.

for my 11 yr old niece. Very comprehensive, be ready to discuss anything, but this is a fun and encouraging approach to make sure your kids are ready for all the challenges life has.

WOW not what I expected when I got this book!!!

It is very informative and it doesn't beat around the bush she is a comedy writer but that means she knows how not to make it to serous/scary but still give you the idea that its not a subject to be silly or insensitive about.
The quotes from the girls are quite reassuring in some ways as you then know your not the only one who thinks/feels that way...

She does have very explanatory bits in this book so its a good idea to look at the table of contence before you open the book at a random page.
