We love this book! The kids, both the older and younger, adore it. They think its so funny, with all the rhymes and all the crazy ideas. A giraffe in the, a sheep in the shower...and so on. It also has beautiful illustrations and has fast become one of their favourite bedtime stories. Mem Fox - always a guaranteed hit!

A wonderful book from combined authors Mem Fox & Olivia Rawson.
It was perfectly illustrated by Kerry Argent.
A sheep in the shower ?, A roo on the loo?, A Giraffe in the bath?
Now if that doesn't make a child laugh, what will.
This book will be treasured and no doubt read for years to come.

I was disappointed with this book. As it is one of Mem Fox's I thought it would be a winner, but I was mistaken. I am a teacher of young children and I got it to read to 4-6 year olds, and they enjoyed looking at the pictures, that is, they were interested in them, but there was no laughs, even from the page with the "roo on the loo", and the text on the pages asks "does that make you laugh?", "does that make you giggle?", and some of the children actually said 'no'. My children usually love it when I read them stories so I was disappointed with this one. Maybe it is better suited to one-on-one readings as the above reviews seem to be glowing.

This is a very easy book to read aloud to my 2 year old and my 5 year old. They both love it and always have a laugh at the hilarity of the situations.
As always, you can rely on Mem Fox to produce a beautifully written and illustrated book that is both easy to read and has and enjoyable story line.
This is a book that even I enjoy reading to my children.
I am always on the look out for books by Mem Fox as they are always a hit.

This is a beautiful book to read aloud to the kids and one that my preschooler wanted to hear “just one more time”. The rhythmic nature of the text allowed me to pause at the end of the sentences and my preschooler could chip in with the end word (the pictures giving clues too), and he look forward to the opportunity to have his turn “reading”.

My preschooler loved the concept of animals doing crazy things and especially loved the roo in the loo and the elephant that rocked. The detailed illustrations by Kerry Argent brought up many talking points like “whose shadow is that?” and “the koala is reading the same book as us”.
