My son loves this but I was really disappointed at the polictically correct ending! The gingerbread man doesn't cross the river and you dont see the gingerbread man get gobbled up ... it's a bit confusing for my 2 year old who still needs visuals to follow a story ('where's the gingerbread man gone mummy??'). The rest of the story is nicely done.

Nice little paperback, but it was not the same ending as the traditional story, so I was a bit surprised. I was expecting the Gingerbread Boy to be helped to cross the river by the devious fox.....?????

A cute, age old fairy tale story, with a fun catch cry, "Run run as fast as you can you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread man. A great fantasy tale that delights children, imagining their food coming alive. I know my son certainly finds this character compelling and hilarious.
