keynes is perhaps one of the most important figures in economic history. this book should not just be read by students of economics, it is a msut read for any one and every one, for it contains valuable history of how governments used to handle their economics pre- 1936 and how their views radically changed after the publiation of this famous book The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money. i highly recommend this book to every one

before keynes' book The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money, the most dominant view in the economic world was that of the classical economists, which stated that little or no government intervention was the way to go in terms of the economy. how ever, the publication of this book and keynes' revoluntionary ideas changed the world of economics for ever. the man created a new branch of economics for god ness sake! read this
