Great way to learn French. The audio cds are doene at normal talking speed which at first is hard, but after a while you get the hang of it. This is done to get youused to people speaking their normal speed. Just started so I am hoping to get a lot out of it.

Excellent for learning french from the beginning, does not cover much grammer though.

An excellent course. Very clear and easy to follow both separately studying the text book and separately listening to the tapes - the latter option quite useful for optimising time learning in-car! However, using the two items together provides the learner a dynamic input.

BBC is a very thorough teacher. I recently bought the German equivalent (Deutsch Plus) on the basis of my experience with 'The French Experience'. Good combination of written and spoken French. CDs are useful for plonking on the MP3 player while out walking as well as using with the open book as they have enough linking between the sections (and I guess enough English explanations).
