after alcohol and tobacco processed sugar is the most destructive drug man continues to consume and abuse, after reading this book it is hard not to question society's relationship to nature and why it is society accepts the use some highly damaging substances that are far removed from what nature intended and demonoizes others which are tolerated and metabolised by the human body far better even beneficial.
these are just some of my thoughts but after some of my personal experiences this book reassures me I'm on the right path when it comes to what I choose to digest.
highly recommended.

A first rate read. the writing is exquisite and the information on the psychedelic experience is both detailed and profound. Also deals comprehensively with almost all other aspects of the drug culture.
