This is a great book, by a great author. Very powerful and moving. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down until I finished it and I ended up reading the whole series in a couple of weeks.

This was the first book i read by author Virginia Andrews about six months ago and i loved it. i have read it twice since then along with the rest in the series. its a fantastic book, the characters suck you in right from start to end and i would recommend it anyone looking for a good read

I'm not sure if too many people know this but this book is actually based on a true story. A very gripping read, one of those winter books that you want to curl up under a blanket with and read in one or two sittings only - very hard to put down. Very gripping, a shocking tale and the start of a brilliant series by Andrews.

This book is the first in the series, was made into a movie years ago aswell. Dont quote me but i think this one was based on a true story. Flowers in the attic is gripping from begining to end. Events that are heart breaking and the characters are easy to love and hate. This is V C Andrews best book that she wrote before she died and my most loved of all, if you read this one then you have to read on to the next ones and follow their lives as they grow. This is an orginal story line and with twist and turns that make you want to cry, scream, laugh and sob all at the same time. This book is for all ages and i highly recommend you give it a try and find out for yourself.

I loved this book. Incredibly interesting. A great read for teenagers but also one adults would also enjoy. The kids all portray the aftermath of true betrayal of the very harshest kind. This book made me contemplate just how cruel some people can be. I also highly recommend the sequels, they are all very engaging

This book was incredibly strong in its plot and writing. It's hard to believe any of this could happen, but without adequate insight into the rich and powerful it is widely assumed that anything could and does happen. I found great faith in the lead characters and was moved to tears on more than one occasion.

This book is a moving tale, written eloquently of the life of four imprisoned children, trapped in an attic because of their mothers selfishness. Flowers in the Attic is a moving tale primarily because things like this do happen, and the book is written in a way that you want the children to escape, get revenge and move on to lead a better life. Parts of this book made me angry, reduced me to tears, and gave a bittersweet happiness. It is a very good book and recommended.
