This is an excellent book for Australian teenage girls. With humour and empathy, Rebecca Sparrow shares advice on how to deal with high school life, discussing issues such as difficult friendships, relationships, self-esteem, embarrassing mistakes, not fitting in, body image and peer pressure.
As well as her own practical, encouraging advice, there are links to useful websites and a recommended reading list.
This book is very positive and upbeat and it constantly reinforces the message that young girls should believe in themselves. It emphasises the importance of healthy friendships and always making informed decisions rather than giving in to peer pressure.
Highly recommended for teen girls, although parents should be aware that the book deals with initmate topics before giving a copy to younger teens.
