On the night lovely Neomi Renate, a famous ballerina at the turn of the century, was murdered, an evil force turned her into a spectre - a phantom that's neither alive nor dead - and cursed her to relive her harrowing death every month during the full moon. Unable to leave her home, she has managed to scare away any trespassers, until she encounters an inhabitant even more terrifying than Neomi herself. When Conrad Wroth, a vampire warlord who's been half-mad for centuries, first beholds Neomi, he knows nothing will stop him from claiming the ethereal beauty as his own - not even death itself. Yet even if the gruff warrior can win her love and defeat the evil that surrounds her, he still must determine a way to bring her fully back to life, and back to him.

kresley cole has done it again! a very good romance. this story about caden, brother of Sebastian Wroth. worth every cents. read the whole book in one day. Cant wait for the other book to come out (already pre order it, so hopefully arrived within this month or next)
I loved it - the best of the series. And that was because Cole concentrated on the relationship. I just wish she'd tone down the sex a little. I am sick of reading about how big the men/creatures are etc etc.
A very good romance, this book is about Neomi a ghost/phantom and the youngest Wroth brother Conrad Wroth, the Mad Vamp who drinks blood directly from his victims til there death. Conrad is imprisoned by his brothers who are trying to help him overcome the need to kill in a mansion, which is also a prison for Neomi who has been unable to leave the ground since her death. Definitely worth while reading.
Cole is so good at the minor characters. I have to admit that the heroine, ballerina-ghost Neomi Laress, bored me a little, and even the mad vamp hero Conrad [I’m sorry, but Conrad?], isn’t quite up to her usual level, but the characters of Nix and Mari make up for that, Nix particularly is a laugh, and it’s worth reading the book just for her. Mad bad vamp Conrad is imprisoned by his brothers in an abandoned mansion that just happens to be haunted by ghost Neomi whose mission in life is to scare everyone out of her house. Well you can’t scare a mad bad vamp, particularly when he’s chained up, but you can tempt him, and yourself. The thing is, when he gets loose and believes that, ghost or not, you’ve betrayed him, well you’re in big trouble. A nice book, a nice read, but not up to her first couple in the series.
This book moves along a little slower than some of the others, but the characters are as interesting as ever, though Conrad Wroth gets a bit too moany sometimes. And is anyone else a bit bored of all these immortals having such big dicks? Makes the sex scenes way too much the same. Neomi was a great character, and the whole ghost/phantom thing was interesting too.
Definately worth a look if you're a fan of supernatural romance.
