Talk about addictive. Vampires, Goths, the living dead. Who can ask for anything more? A story about Claire and her new found friends whom she shares the "Glass House" with. Living in Morganville is truly grim, but a lot better than living at the dorm on campus! Who would live in a place with Monica and her wannabee's. I read this book in a day and I just HAD to finish it. I intend on reading all thats been released from Rachel Caine. What a fun read!
I find this book series very addictive.
An unsuspecting girl is unlucky enough to
be stuck in a University where no one really cares
about education, maybe because they have somthing
much more important to worry about and protect, their own lives.
But only the people that have no protection have to worry about that,
the ones who do have protection are kept safe from the ones who give them
the protection in the first place, on one conditon; they keep quiet and behave
But would you believe someone who tells you that the place they are living in is overrun
by vampires? What will Claire do to keep herself safe? Claire whom has no protection?
Luckily she meets three very interesting people who may or may not be able to protect her.
Just make sure you have the second book to the series near you when you finish this book because
you'll be dying to read it enormous cliffhanger anyone? It's kind of unfair actually
Glass Houses by Rachel Caine is an amazing story; very well written. Claire is strong, selfless and willing to put up with anything to make her parent's happy. But when Claire starts at a new school - in a place called Morganville - any bad things that could happen to her do happen! Not only that but vampires and a mean girl are out to get her...so she's got more than a few worries on her plate! Without protection from those "in the know" she'll end up being on someone's plate - literally!
This book's got it all: romance, thriller, hot guys, vampires, and loads of suspense.
I could not put this book down - it's so enthralling and addictive. A great read!!!
With a bright future over protective parents make her go to a local university what they didn't know was that the town was a vampire town and without protection you were dinner. escaping some homicidal dorm mates she escapes to a house owned by a young man who later turns out to be more than he seems. A goth chick who wants to stick it to the vampire hordes. a cute guy that is better protection than her parents ever were.
I very enjoyable read. Quick and easy was a nice light read and i am keen to see what the rest of the series has in store. I do wish the story was a little longer at times i did feel the story was being hurried along and some things could have to explorded a little a more. But still a good read.
I just started this book last night, I was a bit apprehensive and didnt expect much - but I couldnt put it down!! 2 O'clock in the morning and Im still glued to its pages!
Normally I dont like books that try to make up their own rules about the vampire world, but this book isnt over the top with it, and is still believable...as much as vampire books can be. I think its because both you and Claire are discovering what Morganville is all about, instead having it explained to you by a character that already knows and shrugs it off like nothing.
Its an easy read, but with a great plot that you cant stop reading!
A very teenage novel that I would have enjoyed a lot more ten years ago.
When a super smart young women comes to a small town to attend university, she has no idea that the bullies are a lot more than just mean... they're evil!
With a ghost and a psychic, things get a little crazy -- goodness knows why the poor girl doesn't just pack up and go home. Honestly, this book was fine but it didn't grip me -- I couldn't suspend my disbelief enough, or maybe I'm just sick of reading about self indulgent teenage girls. My 15 year old cousin really enjoyed it though, and it now has a home at her place.
claire danvers is not your ordinary girl. for one she joins university at a younger age than her peers, and she just doesnt fit in. then finally she meets a goth girl and lands herself in a house off campus with can you guess it......vampires.
in a town ruled by the dead what is a girl to do? can claire survive Morganville or has she bitten off more than she can chew? read and find out!
