leon uris is my all time favorite writer! Fast , exciting and intelligent writing, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat. I love the fact that Uris does research for his book, which gives a feel that you are learning as well as getting entertained. A master story teller in my opinion. Fabulous, non stop read !
Leon Uris is an author of sweeping historical sagas. This one deals with the Jewish people, and the horrors inflicted upon them. This, of course led to the creation of Israel, and the history of this event comes into focus here. You cannot escape Palestine either, in this setting. It is all reasonably interesting enough.
