Jensen's book is among the better of the anti-civilisation genre.Whether one agrees with his utopian thesis or not, it is well argued and well written.
Derrick Jensen's Endgame, volume one, does not fail in detailing the full extent of the ecological problems the world faces, and the source of this problem: civilisation itself. Jensen's argument is convincing, answering all those arguments people make to keep on living the way they do, in denial of the full damage being done to the planet. Jensen's work is extremely radical, and really would only appeal to those who think that revolutionary change is required, rather than the purchasing of energy-efficient lightbulbs. An extensive and challenging critique of civilisation.
