If you’re interested in psychoactive plants this book is an absolute must have. It makes ‘plants of the gods’ look like a kid’s book. Christian covers over 400 plants, covering the botany, cultivation, constituents, history, preparation and heaps more. There are chapters devoted also to fungi, plant mixtures and the active chemicals in the plants.
This book belongs on the bookshelf of any one interested in the subjects whether you’re new to it or already have an extensive knowledge.

this book is genius... a grand alchemic mixture of pharmacology, botany, occultism, folklore, history and other big words, lavish illustrations and photos covering everything from coffee to obscure cactii, a truly fascinating read and worth the seemingly exorbitant price...brilliant
