A beautifully illustrated story of Edward the Emu, who thinks that other animals at the zoo are far more interesting them he is. As he takes a turn at sharing the enclosure of a series of different animals (lions, snakes, seals) he always hears that someone is looking forward to seeing a different animal more. Eventually he hears someone say that the emu is their favourite and happily returns to his own enclosure, knowing that he is interesting too, only to find a surprise waiting for him. The illustrations are beautiful and the expressions on Edward's face are very amusing.
