bought as a birthday present for my partners daughter. she was borrowing mine so needed her own copy. now tempted to buy one for myself and one for my mother in law also. great edition with all the favourite classics that are sometimes missing from other editions like date loaf and others..
also with notes from new zealanders on their experiences with various recipes. a really essential read/cook book for every household. great gift idea for ex pats living abroad. i highly recommend this edition
An awesome book. So easy to follow and so many of the ingrediants are already in your cupboard. I love this book so much that I am going to buy this book for friends/ family for xmas. Simular to the CWA Cookbook but heaps better.
I asked my sister to give me this book for my birthday two years ago. Excellent choice! I love the comments about various popular recipes by regular users of the recipes. I also love the top 10 recipe list (it's fun seeing if my favourites made the list)
Since meeting my kiwi boyfriend just over a year ago, I have not stopped hearing about the 'Edmonds' cookbook. Anything I cook, 'I have to try the Edmonds recipe'. I thought how can it possibly be that good, and beat our good old Women's Weekly Day to Day Cookery? Eventually I had to get my own copy of the Edmonds cookbook, and sure enough, it has every classic, traditional, home-style recipe you can imagine. Everything done the old fashioned way, and they turn out fabulous! My boyfriend is now threatening to throw out all my other cookbooks.......
