This book is fantastic. It provides solid scientific evidence to back up what I believe to be a very smart diet. While you will see results quickly (I lost a lot of weight following these principles) it is not all about being a quick fix solution but a lifestyle choice. It was really easy to read as well (I finished it in a weekend) and I now know so much more about nutrition and how to improve my current lifestyle so that I feel healthy and maintain my weight.
I would reccommend this to everyone interested in being healthy.

Excellent book, as is the one directed towards children; "Disease Proof your Child". A lot of scietific information, therefore I found the child one less scientific and more informative, yet still a lot of information that I thought I knew but obviously didn't. I am already a vegetarian and thought I was eating properly, but after reading the book I realised there was so much more than just eating fruit and vegetables! Worth getting if you want a quality of life.

Although the message is simple, it is a message we all need to hear in the commercial environment we live in. This book gives you the inspiration, motivation, and information to change your family's diet. I bought it to improve our health long term, not for weight loss. I think it makes sense although you definitely won't be eating like the people next door!

I found this book a little disappointing, it rambles on about different scenarios before stating what we all know! If you eat plenty of fruit and veg, cut down on all fats you'll lose weight....
