I love this book! Very simply presented, with black and white illustrations. But absolutely full of useful information. It is arranged by the months/seasons, which makes it easy to plan your food garden at all times of the year. Lots of planting and growing tips, as well as recipes for food, cosmetics, cleaners, all sorts of things. I have had this book for years and am always referring to it.

This a fabulous book, absolute value for money. It is never placed on the bookshelf and resides permanently on my bedside table as I turn to it so often. The Earth Garden's Companion distills Jackie French's annual gardening advice, found seasonally in Earth Garden magazine, into one handy, easy to use manual. Her writing style is easy and friendly to read and her knowledge and tips unsurpassable. For the home produce grower, or anyone ascribing to the 'Good Life' lifestyle this is a must-have.

Excellent book. It is an easy read and quite enjoyable, too. I can see myself dipping into this throughout the year.
