This is a fantastic little rhyming text full of charm and secretly teaching children about the sounds of language and rhyme. This book is as good as when it was writen but our children have changed. You might find if you are reading this book in a preschool setting that children may not know who 'mother hubbard' or other nusery rhyme characters are. You may want to tell some of these stories seperately and the text to 'each, peach pear plum' will take on a whole new meaning for the children and you will have the chance to share some lovely traditional tales with the children.

Children will love to join in with the chant that continues throughout the book and look for the characters. Don't forget to look for other funny things happening in the pictures as well. A lovely book to read cuddled up with your child or with a larger group. Highly recommended.

I remember this book from when I was a little girl and was so excited to find it to share with my own daughter. A simple and engaging book with lovely illustrations. Children are always eager to try and find the character on the next page. A great interactive book for the whole family!

The pictures in this book are adorable. I read this book to my son and now I am reading it to my grandaughters. It still has not lost it's charm. They love to search for their favourite nursery rhyme characters on each page and be the first to shout "I see him." What a delight!

One of my absolute favourites. From age one all the way through to grannys and granpas. This book holds them all. The cleverly put together text has a rhythm and rhyme that captivates it's audience. The use of characters from nursery rhymes and fables adds interest and depth to an absolute classic. Don't forget to talk about each of the characters and journey on a whole new adventure with your family.
