Reviews

«The importance of this subject cannot be overestimated and the authors have approached the issues in a comprehensive and innovative way. Through this project, the Belgian EU Presidency has created the conditions for a focussed debate on future health care systems in Europe.» (Michel Rocard, Member of the European Parliament and former Prime Minister of the French Republic)
«This book provides a comprehensive and in-depth picture of the legal foundations and political discussion taking place. The analysis provides a firm basis for further developments within the European Union.» (Bernd von Maydell, Professor of Social Security Law and Director of the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Social Law, Munich)
«This is a timely book that brings together in both an accurate and critical way the various aspects in which health care and European legislation have become intertwined. The Belgian EU Presidency is to be praised for taking the initiative and revitalising the debate; the authors for providing a well documented basis for assessing that debate.» (Jos Berghman, Professor of Social Policy, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, President of the European Institute of Social Security)
