Sandra Freed Thomas, R.N.former president of CH.A.D.D. (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder)This rich resource has it all -- education, family perspectives, diagnosis and treatment, subtypes -- but throughout there is a joyful and pervading sense of hope. One cannot read this book without developing a great sense of how it feels to live with ADD -- to compensate for, even to benefit from, its characteristics.

These are two of the most well respected experts on the field on ADHD. Both claim to be ADHD, and seem to be proud of it. This is one of the first books I have read on the topic. I would recommend that one reads a later version of their work however as alot of the information now would be outdated, and a parent would be severly negligent if they were to act on the information given in this book. A good book for referencing though.
