Strassman is one of the only people since the 60s to get permission to do research into psychedelics and his main goal in testing exogenous DMT is to find out what endogenous DMT does in the brain (because we all have it). Strassman interviews multiple test subjects and starts to piece together a picture of what this chemical might be all about in this summary of his 20+ years of work in the field, work every penny.
