About the Author

Penelope Todd is better known for her junior and young adult novels. She has written seven novels to date: many have been shortlisted for NZ Post. In 2005 at an artists' and writers' residence near Barcelona, she began this memoir. Since she has taken up an invitation to a Swiss international writer's residency and is presently in Iowa after being awarded the Iowa Fellowship
