Ulrich Wobus war bis zu seiner Emeritierung 2007 Direktor des Leibniz-Instituts für Pflanzengenetik und Kulturpflanzenforschung und Leiter der Abteilung für molekulare Genetik am selbigen Institut.

Klaus Müntz war von 1990 bis 1991 Direktor des Institutes für Genetik und Kulturpflanzenforschung, Gatersleben und bis zu seiner Emeritierung 1997 Leiter der Abteilung für molekulare Zellbiologie am selbigen Institut.
