This is the second installment in Gena Showalter's exciting paranormal romance series "The Lords of the Underworld". You won't be sorry you picked up this book - its evocative and fast paced and will not disappoint! This book is just as phenomenal and engrossing as the first book in the series (the darkest night) and will leave you hungry for more!
Lucien the keeper of the demon of Death is ordered by Cronus (the new king of the Gods) to kill Anya the Goddess of Anarchy.He doesn't want to hurt her so he pretends to comply but is compelled by Cronus's threat to harm his friends.
On the other hand Anya knows Lucien is sent by Cronus to kill her but she still can't resist him.As she becomes more attached to him she releases that Cronus could use Lucien to threaten her into compliance and tries to push him away for his own good...
I couldn't quite get into this book at first but it does eventually get better.
