A highly recommended novel that is part of the "Dark" series by Christine Feehan. Each book can be read as a stand alone, so if you haven't read any other books in the series don't worry, this is still going to be a good read if you are a fan of vampire fiction. Although technically Carpathians, the race in the novel, are not vampires at all but an immortal race whose males if they do not find their soul mate can give in to blood lust and become vampires instead. This is my favourite in the "Dark" series!! A must read.
