I have to say that I really enjoyed this book and have found another author in paranormal romance who writes a story to get the pulse racing. It's dark, sensual and highly entertaining. If you like books about vampires, a touch of romance, some tasteful but steamy sex then this book is for you.

I had read very good things about this series, so was looking forward to reading the first in what I hope will be many books. Slightly put off by the cover when it arrived, almost like a bad Mills and Boon, but once I moved onto the first page I couldn't put it down! I read the whole book in 2 nights and that probably would have been 1 night if I hadn't had to go to work the next day. This is definately a Vampire story with a difference. Here the humans barely feature, instead it is about the Vampires and the souless lessers who try to destroy them. At the heart of it though, this is a romance, and a HOT romance at that. The development of the relationship between the last pure Vampire, Wrath and the half human half vampire, Beth is fabulous, I couldn't stop turning the pages as they both realised how they felt about each other and embarked on a very hot and steamy ride. But, the story didn't stop there, it got better. This is definately one series that is worth reading and I have since read the next 5 books in this series. Each brother is different, they are strong and powerful and gorgeous, but all of them have a flaw or weakness which makes them a little vulnerable, but all the more adorable for it! If you are into Vampire stories and love a good romance with some hot sex, I would highly recommend this series!

Once you have read this First book in the BDB series you will be ordering all of them! I have just finished the 6th book and I'm waiting for the paperback of the 7th to be released so I can get my hands on it! I love all the Characters in the series and they way they interact with each other. I laugh, get sad and my pulse goes a bit haywire every now and then! Love this series! you won't be disappointed!

I am absolutely addicted to the Black Dagger Brotherhood books. I have just finished Lover Enshrined and am waiting for Lover Avenged!!

This is the first book in the series. It’s about Wrath, the last pure bred vampire, and the gorgeous half breed Beth. It also introduces you into the world of the Brotherhood.. But be careful, once you start you can’t put them down.

PS. I would only recommend these books for people 18+. They have explicit sexual references.

i loved this book!! Introduces you to the best series that I have read in ages. Wrath is super cool and Beth is really endearing too, I love their chemistry

Hmmm... not as good as some of the other vampire chronicles out there - bit too much of the brooding and not so much of the action. Great trashy novel with plenty of eroticism.

I was desperately searching for a new series to read after Twilight when the black dagger brotherhood was recommended to me. It didn't take long to become completely hooked, they are certainly more "adult" with plenty of sexual references but still romantic with the vampire twist. I recommend ordering at least two at a time because you'll want more after beginning with Wrath and Beth in Dark Lover.

Super super book series - the best I have ever read - so much better than twilight and definitely for adults only! I wish they would make a tv series about this like True Blood, it would kick butt!
